Every Matue Couture design begins with an idea.

Sometimes it's inspired by a textile I discovered while traveling through West Africa. Other times, it's a story, a memory, or an emotion I want to express through fashion.

But a sketch on paper isn't a garment.

It takes skilled hands to transform an idea into something that can be worn.

Those hands belong to Jonathan N'Guessan.

For more than 25 years, Jonathan has dedicated his life to the art of fashion. As the founder of N'Gues Style in Lomé, Togo, he has built a reputation for craftsmanship, precision, and excellence while mentoring the next generation of designers. Today, his atelier is known not only for creating beautiful garments but also for developing talent and preserving the tradition of fine tailoring.

Working with Jonathan has taught me something I deeply believe:
